Why Marquette For Your Next Golf Vacation?

If you want to experience a round of golf characterized as “stunning”, “incredible”, “awesome”, “Best in the Midwest” or “world class golf” by regional, national and even international pundits, then the Greywalls Course is what you are seeking! The Greywalls Course takes advantage of an incredible land form jutting 400 feet above Lake Superior involving huge rock formations situated in a pristine forest to provide “a golf experience like none other”. But wait, that is not all Marquette Golf Club has to offer! We are also home to a “classic” 1926 William Langford / Theodore Moreau designed course referred to as our Heritage Course.  The combination of these two courses has been categorized, “as unique and thrilling as there is in golf”. You need to play them, period. As great as the golf is, the Marquette Community doesn’t take a back seat. Located on the “greatest” of the Great Lakes, Lake Superior provides recreational opportunities and scenic beauty that few, if any resort communities can equal. Gorgeous beaches and parks dominate the shoreline. The rugged South Shore of Lake Superior enhances the terrain for activities besides golf like biking and running. Being ranked nationally in the top 10 in both pursuits is unheard of, but daily reality in Marquette. The area is also a popular fishing and kayaking destination, whether on the ‘big lake’ or the many inland lakes and rivers. To add a cosmopolitan touch, Marquette is also home to Northern Michigan University and a regional medical center. With our great developed offerings in accommodations, dining and shopping, the Greywalls Course may bring you to Marquette but the combination of the courses, the community and ‘yooper’ hospitality will keep you coming back year after year!
